Cover for non-South African drivers

The South African Road Traffic Act states the following,

All drivers must have the correct license code for the type of vehicles driven.
Must be in possession of a valid PrDP for the type of goods conveyed.
Foreigners with a temporary work permit will be provided with a temporary document valid for a period of six months.
Foreigners with permanent citizenship have twelve months to convert their existing license.

Unlike other insurance companies, HCV will honour a claim as long as the driver has the appropriate licenses, such as South African or International. The fact that the driver does not have a work permit will not prejudice a claim. All HCV asks is that you make sure you have the PrDP, driver's license or equivalent and we will honour any potential claim. Just another way we at HCV are keeping their promise of caring for trucks + truckers.
